This is a special show as we mark the 1 year anniversary of the first time appearance of band Oliver Bean, as Sahm and Jimmy B join us live in studio this week, along with returning guest Paddlechamp, Willie, and of course Al.

Tas Runs For the Hills – We all know that our long time listener, Australian buddy Tas is a huge fan of the show, The Hills. However now that Lauren Conrad is leaving the show, how will Tas take it? We give Tas some helpful tips, including a personalized Top 10 List from Willie on altnernative things for Tas to do.

Oliver Bean Pro Harmack? – The guys of Oliver Bean state on the air that although they like Willie and the great chemistry he brings to the show, they dissagree with not having Harmack be a part of the show. Harmack and Mhykol of the newly returning Orderly Chaos invade the show via phone line with their comments.

Classic Performance – We have the clip from this past Friday’s edition of the G-NET Underground where Sahm and Jimmy B of Oliver Bean sang an encore of “Somebody Touch My Balls”, exclusively for our listeners. Of course you’ll also hear other OB favorites, such as “Sunshiner”, “Ladybug”, and “Let’s Fall in Love”.

Teenage Mutant Negro Turtles? – After discussing classic TV shows and bands from the past that have recently returned, Willie comes up with an idea for a great way to bring back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… well kinda.

Episode 71 – UG Goes To The Social Area

June 04th, 2009 | Category: Episode Update

Al, Willie and special guest host UnknownGamer with you tonight on this “explosive” show.
On this episode:
Update With Paddlechamp- What was supposed to be a romantic “hook up” for Paddlechamp turned into disappointment last week, as we discovered BLB would no-show last week’s ESCape Dating Game only to be found cheating with another woman. We check in this week with Paddlechamp, and when UnknownGamer offers his condolences, they find they have a bit more in common than once believed.
Foul Play at the Wing Off?- Brody calls the show in a uproar about how he was cheated out of last Saturday’s 2nd Annual Chicken Wing Off. Willie also responds to why he was only able to eat 3 wings before throwing in the towel.
More Sex Talk = More Women Guests – Willie tries to once again bring up a sex article he found in his brand new issue of “Self” magazine, but before being able to mention anything about sex, we are joined by Galeena, (another woman sent from the Womans Rights Group) to make sure there’s no shenanigans.
Featured Musical Guest Scour- We are pleased this week to feature the music of up and coming band Scour, as we will feature songs Bright Idea, Hideaway, and Let Love Live.

This edition of The ESCape Show is sponsored by Hostgator.com – webhosting for as low as $4.95 a month. The ESCape uses and recommends Hostgator.

Featured Musical Guest Of Episode 71: Scour

June 02nd, 2009 | Category: Episode Preview

We are pleased to feature the music of up and coming band Scour on Episode 71.

Scour is best described as explosive, live, catchy, melodic and talented. Scour delivers great songwriting wrapped in a power pop rock package with big guitars, hard-hitting drums, and boundless energy.

Scour was formed when singer & songwriter Chris Jones met guitarist Jason Manoff in Hollywood in the summer of 2008. The two hit it off and discovered they shared the desire and influences to form a rock band. Jones and Manoff wrote two songs the first day they ever spent together that summer, and they had a dozen songs finished at the end of that first week. After realizing their near-instantaneous bond, Jones and Manoff officially decided to start the band and recruited Joel Smith, rhythm guitar, Louis Ortega, bassist, and Drew Mattern, the drummer.

Scour’s musical influences, eclectic personalities and incredible passion for the songs they write and play, define the band’s soul. Scour songs are essentially about life, love and loss. They truly have an all or nothing approach to creating music. After only six weeks of being together, the band began playing small clubs in the Los Angeles area, and moved onto playing various venues on the Sunset Strip.

January 2009 marks an important time in the band’s history. Scour recorded their first professional three-song demo, working with music veteran and producer Rich Mouser (Oleander, Rivers Cuomo) and mastered the project at Capitol Records by Robert Vosgien (Green Day, No Doubt, Bush).

Scour’s persistent determination to write, record and perform has caught the attention of the underground music scene and fans across the country. The band is eagerly awaiting a tour and is working to complete a new EP set to release early July 2009.

We will be featuring the songs Bright Idea, Hideaway, and Let Love Live during the show!
