Mikes Blog: Mike’s Venture Into MLB 2009 On The PS3

April 10th, 2009 | Category: Mike's Blog

ESCape.com Exclusive – Mike’s venture into MLB 09: The Show (PS3)
For those of you that are not familiar with the game MLB 09: The Show on the PS3, it is probably the best Baseball game out there for console platforms to date.

I recently purchased a PS3 mainly just to play this game, every review I read was very positive and everyone I know that owns or has played the game had nothing but great things to say about it.

Over the next couple months, I will document my adventures in the game mode Road to the Show, where you create a character, get drafted by a team and try to make it to the majors and onto stardom.

I will try to post updates three or four times a week, so make sure to check back often to read them and comment on them and maybe I will even need your input on if I should sign a contract with a certain team or demand a trade.

Stay tuned, next post will have my character’s info and should start to chronicle the beginnings of my career and how the start of Spring Training is going.

Mike’s Blog – Get Ready To Get Lost

May 29th, 2008 | Category: Mike's Blog

Season four of “Lost” saw the show head in a new, and thrilling direction: the future. Flash-forwards that showed (some of) the survivors in post-island life alternated with segments on the island, revealing a bleak and violent new era for the Losties. Back on the island, elements of the supernatural were overshadowed by the beginnings of a war between Ben and the islanders and Charles Widmore and his men, who came to the island on a freighter.

Key revelations this season included:

The biggie: Most significantly, we learned that six of the survivors made it off of the island. Dubbed the Oceanic Six, they are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, Sayid and baby Aaron.

The Six lie to the world about how they survived, who else survived (they say they’re the only survivors) and how they were rescued.

We have not yet learned what happened to Claire, but we do know that Kate is raising Aaron as her own son in the future.

Leaving the island has not been all that the survivors hoped: Jack sinks back into drugs and alcohol, Sayid becomes a hit man for Ben after his wife is murdered by Widmore’s men; Hurley ends up back in a mental institution; Sun gives birth alone because Jin is either dead or on the island.

We met some new characters from the freighter with unusual powers who were chosen by Widmore: archaeologist Charlotte Lewis, who discovered a polar bear in Tunisia; Miles Straum, who sees dead people; and Daniel Faraday, a brilliant physicist obsessed with time travel.

We learn that the island is out of time — there’s a disruption in the time-space continuum. The island exists several minutes in the future.

And we learned Ben may be the current island leader, but Locke may be its future.

Key questions for tonight’s season finale include:

What happened to the other survivors? Why did The Six make it off and no else? Did the other choose to stay behind? How did The Six get off the island?

Is Claire dead?

What is the cause of the war between Charles Widmore and Ben?

Will Locke be able to the move the island to save it from annihilation by Widmore’s men? How and why?

Will all of these be answered? Of course not — that’s what next season is for. –
